An existing warehouse and office slab prepared and diamond polished for a 600 m² retail store.

A former warehouse with office areas became a new Topps Tiles store in Watford. Ecoflor advised on retaining the concrete slab as the visible retail floor.
Preparation and finish
Carpet adhesive and latex were ground back to the original slab using an HTC ride-on grinder. The 600 m² store then received an HTC Superfloor Platinum finish before the area was returned to the fit-out contractor.
Completed work
The completed floor provided a glossy polished concrete surface suited to cleaning and busy retail use. This refurbishment demonstrates how preparation of an existing slab can form part of a change-of-use project.
